Account access / Creator completion
Connect deliberately.
Post with context.
The application supports TikTok Login Kit and Content Upload to the creator's inbox. It does not publish silently.
1. Prepare the developer sandbox
Use the app's Desktop platform, this official website and the policy links visible below. Add Login Kit, Content Posting API with Upload enabled, and video listing for publication URL reconciliation. Verify URL ownership for Content Posting API.
The publisher receives the authorization callback locally at http://127.0.0.1:8765/auth/tiktok/callback. Register that exact URI for Desktop Login Kit. This public website does not receive authorization codes.
2. Authorize the intended account
Add the account you own as a sandbox target user in TikTok's developer portal. Save the sandbox client key and secret in Channels & settings on the local publisher, select Sandbox, then choose Connect account. TikTok handles login and permission consent; the publisher does not need or store your TikTok password.
| Permission | Purpose in the application |
|---|---|
user.info.basic | Verify the connected account's display name and app-specific ID. |
video.upload | Transfer the exact approved clip to the creator's TikTok inbox. |
video.list | Retrieve the official share URL for a confirmed public video ID. |
3. Preview and consent to the transfer
Review the finished clip and caption in the desktop application. Approve that exact media for TikTok inbox transfer. Editing the clip or caption requires renewed consent. A sandbox grant only permits the operations TikTok allows in that restricted environment.
4. Finish in TikTok
Open the TikTok inbox notification, review the video, copy or revise the suggested caption, and choose privacy, comments and other available settings. Complete the final posting step in TikTok. Sandbox testing does not permit Content Posting API publication of public videos.
The application distinguishes processing, inbox delivery, awaiting creator and confirmed public publication. It never fabricates a post URL for an inbox draft or a private post.
Disconnect or revoke
Disconnect removes the local account token and identity. Revoke TikTok access also requests token revocation from TikTok. You can independently remove the app through TikTok's account settings and app-permission controls.
For an integration review video
Record the genuine sandbox flow: configuration, account authorization, verified identity, preview and transfer consent, inbox delivery, creator completion under sandbox restrictions, status reconciliation and revocation. Do not show client secrets, access tokens or passwords. A simulated screen recording does not demonstrate a working TikTok integration.
